Pokémon Masters EX Starts Trending (For All The Wrong Reasons)

News RoundUp The Biggest Stories Of The Week

Pokémon Masters launched in a sorry state, and the developers quickly apologized for its condition and promised that an overhaul of the game was on the way. That overhaul led to the game being rebranded as Pokémon Masters EX, following the tradition of adding DX or EX to the names of improved games.

The only problem with this name change is that it becomes something very different when mushed together as part of a hashtag. The term “pokémonmastersex” was trending on Twitter, leading to all kinds of Pokémon-themed reaction gifs. Pokémon Masters is trying to win back the crowd with its rebranding, and this is certainly an interesting way of going about it.

Ash’s Pikachu Did NOT Evolve Into Raichu (Despite The Leaks)

The latest series of the Pokémon anime has been going in some bold new directions, and it initially seemed as if it was going to change its mascot forever. The previews of an upcoming episode hinted that Ash’s Pikachu was going to evolve into a Raichu. This was backed up by leaks posted on social media.

To the surprise of literally no one, Ash’s Pikachu did not evolve into a Raichu. The previews were intentionally misleading. It turned out that Goh (Ash’s new traveling companion) caught a Pikachu and that evolved into a Raichu instead.
