During Part Two of Nier Replicant, you will find yourself returning to the Forest of Myth as part of the storyline in order to retrieve the Memory Tree Key Fragment. You’ll be faced with another sequence of stories told via on-screen text, at the end of which you will need to answer a few questions.

Unlike the earlier Deathdream riddles that had exact answers, uncovering the Divine Tree’s memories and answering correctly this time will take a little more work on your part. There are particular sections of the story that the tree tells that are randomly generated, and it’s this information that you need to remember for the answers. As a result, we can’t give you the correct answers, but we can tell you where to find them.

The first story that the tree tells you is about a boy. You will want to pay attention to the line: “Only one person brings the boy comfort: a healthy young girl with tan skin and deep eyes.”

The color of the eyes can differ between brown, green, or blue. Make sure you remember which color it says for you.

In the second story that the tree tells you, you will want to pay attention to the line: “Her friends and fellow warriors come and go. Some flee in terror. Some are eaten. She began the fight with companions, but more are gone now.”

The number of warriors differs between 23, 33, or 63, so pay attention to which number you get.

At the end of the tree’s stories, it will ask you three questions.

“What was the color of the lost envy?”

  • Choose the answer that matches the color of the girl’s eyes from the first story.

“I implore you: How many were lost by the warrior who fought the red-eyed beasts?”

  • Choose “Her daughter…” followed by the number that matches the number of warriors mentioned in the tree’s second stories.

“I implore… most important thing wo rld”

  • Choose any of the answers, all of which are different variations of “Yonah”.

After answering all three questions correctly, you will finish your conversation with the tree and obtain the Memory Tree Key Fragment.
