10 Puri-Puri Prisoner

It certainly helps his character that the dynamic he shares with Garou is a wildly interesting one, with fans wondering how their fragmented relationship will affect both their fates over time.

For the longest time, King seemed like a powerful hero whose position in the S-Class hierarchy was actually undermining his true powers. However, all of this served as nothing more than a distraction to hide the fact that King is just an average joe who has been riding the wave of heroic acts done by Saitama.

The fact that this revelation still manages to make the character likable and also allows for a great deal of hilarity certainly speaks volumes when it comes to the brilliance of his arc.

5 Fubuki

There was a time when Fubuki was supposed to be nothing more than another obstruction that Saitama’s freight train was supposed to blow over. However, the appealing nature of the character’s design coupled with her surprisingly intriguing backstory has turned her into a fan-favorite that has been getting more screen time as the story progresses.

The pressure she faced as the weaker half of the sisterly duo is something that many people have faced in life, making her character all the more relatable and enjoyable as a result.

The Hero Hunter Garou has had a very strong introduction and is still going strong as a rather impressive addition to the show’s line of antagonists.

The manner in which he empathizes with monsters — a group that has constantly been on the losing side of things, something that he himself faced as a child — makes him an intriguing character and justifies his hatred towards the heroes who have been lauded by society since time immemorial.

3 Mumen Rider

The idea that a C-Class Hero who has absolutely no business fighting dangerous threats puts his body on the line to defend a group of civilians is the personification of a hero — something that Mumen Rider achieves during his confrontation with the Deep Sea King.

This alone makes Mumen Rider one of the most likable characters on the show, and the gratitude he showed to Saitama after he saved his life and beat the Deep Sea King makes for a rather touching moment in a series that doesn’t really take itself all that seriously.

2 Saitama

Saitama might be an oddball at times whose motivations seem almost alien to viewers, but he’s also one of the most lovable characters in the entire show and is an absolute joy to witness in action… and otherwise.

The fact that this man did what basically equated to strength training in order to achieve superhuman levels of power, only to get bored with life post this massive achievement makes his conundrum something that seems awfully arbitrary, yet incredibly compelling at the same time.

1 Genos

When it comes to character arcs, it goes without saying that Genos is the one hero who goes through a ton of development throughout the series. His mentorship under Saitama might be played off as a joke, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that there are some genuine moments when he actually learns something of importance and uses it in order to improve his own discipline and behavior in life.

The fact that he gives it his all in battle and always sports a never-say-die attitude is proof enough of just how determined and stubborn this character really is… and everyone loves him for that.
