You know those moments where you were just sure everything would be fine? The world is a perfect place and all your hopes and dreams can come true? That’s exactly what happened over the weekend as the Philadelphia Fusion unleashed their ultimate secret weapon on a poor Vancouver Titans team not ready for the wrath about to be brought down upon them. The Fusion finally let Philip “ChipSa” Graham shine in all his glory and glorious it was indeed.

The collective Overwatch world lost their minds when the Philadelphia Fusion announced ChipSa would be starting against the Titans. It was his moment to shine and a moment that would go down in Overwatch League history. Iconic it was as they rolled out with him on his legendary Doomfist. A one-trick Doom player, ChipSa and the Fusion were set on forcing their comp to work despite it being more troll than anything.

What unfolded will never be forgotten. ChipSa popped off. ChipSa threw. Carpe carried ChipSa. Sado carried ChipSa. FunnyAstro carried ChipSa. Boombox carried ChipSa. Poko carried ChipSa. ChipSa fell off the map on his own. ChipSa got a 3K. ChipSa got play of the game?!?!

ChipSa got unlucky… and let everyone in the lobby know.

Jokes and memes aside, ChipSa actually performed quite well for playing in his first Overwatch League match and playing a comp that shouldn’t have worked the way it did. He does have potential, but the Fusion roster is so stacked with DPS talent, it’s hard to justify playing him during any serious matches. Still, the Overwatch League viewership went up by around 15,000 views once he stepped into the spotlight. The star power is there and the hunger fans have to see him play is unmatched.

Who knows exactly when ChipSa will be able to play in a match again. It was sort of the perfect storm given the situation. If a Doomfist meta does pop up, he is certainly a viable option given how well he actually performed despite playing sort of a throw pick during his only map. No matter what, Philadelphia knew exactly what they were doing picking him up and the meme potential he brings to the league is unparalleled.
