PlayStation owners in Asia will be getting an additional free game with PS Plus in October as well as the three announced earlier this week.

September is about to come to an end which means if you haven’t already claimed your free PS Plus games for this month, you’ve only got a few days left to do so. Don’t panic, they won’t go back to full price at the stroke of midnight. October’s PS Plus games won’t be free until October 5, which means you have until October 4 to claim September’s titles.

As for what’s on offer this October, PlayStation revealed yesterday that PS5 owners will be getting Hell Let Loose, while both next-gen and last-gen players can claim PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat 10 for free. However, as was revealed after the fact via PlayStation Asia’s Twitter account, Asian PlayStation owners will be getting a little extra.

On top of the three games mentioned above, those of you in Asia with a PS4 or a PS5 will also be able to download Castlevania Requiem for free starting on October 5. PS Plus subscribers in Asia, and more specifically Japan, often get an extra game. PlayStation did mention that PGA Tour 2K21 may be replaced in some regions, but Asia will get Castelvania as well as the golf sim next month.

There’s something for Castlevania fans to get excited about regardless of the console you own right now. Well, unless you own a PlayStation and you don’t live in Asia. Xbox revealed its free Games With Gold this week, and Castlevania: Harmony of Despair makes the cut. Last but not least, the long-teased Castlevania Advance Collection is now available on Nintendo Switch.

October’s PS Plus games will be available for free from October 5 and will likely stick around for about a month before they are replaced with November’s titles. They might be a little more special than usual since November will mark one whole year since the PS5 first launched. Despite ongoing shortages, PlayStation has already managed to sell more than 10 million of them, shifting one million units in the UK faster than any other PlayStation.
