Team Rocket is our favorite mischievous trio of villains. The main antagonists of the long-running Pokemon series are always up to trouble. Jessie, James, and Meowth manage to keep Ash and his friends on their toes with their crazy schemes. Though they are usually portrayed as villainous, their actions sometimes are less than evil. When it comes down to the wire, Team Rocket has shown signs of loyalty to one another and has a soft spot on occasion.
In their adventures, they make us laugh and sometimes they even make us smile. It’s hard not to like them, especially when they have such great quotes. In this list, we will take a look at Team Rocket’s 10 best quotes.
10 Motto
Team Rocket’s Motto makes the countdown for starters. There are many versions of this quote throughout the series with Team Rocket tailoring it to meet the theme of their robberies, but the original full version is the trio taking turns saying phrases.

Next, when the team’s plan is foiled or something unfortunate befalls them, they have a motto for that.

8 Pokemon Breeding Center
In episode 52, “The Pokemon Breeding Center” Team Rocket infiltrates a Breeding Center and plans to steal all of the Pokemon.

Jessie rushes the gang, telling them, “This way.” She motions for them to follow her.

In Pokemon: Indigo League Team Rocket interferes with the trio yet again. The gang is trying to get Snorlax to wake up so the city can use the stream he is laying in. Team Rocket decides they want to kidnap Snorlax, but this time Ash and his friends decide to try to help them so they can move the Pokemon. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work since Snorlax is too big. The best quote from the episode is from James.
Ash says, “We should have known Team Rocket would mess this up.”
Jessie says, “What did you say??”
Ash says, “Well…it’s the truth.”

5 Holy Matrimony
Another great quote from Team Rocket comes from the episode Holy Matrimony. James’ parents pretend they are dead to get Ash, Misty, and Brock to bring James to them. Jessie sees the dollar signs and makes James go as well. Soon we learn James has a fiance and his parents faked their deaths to bring him home to inherit his fortune. Much to Jame’s dismay, Jessie makes him feign interest long enough to try to get the money.
When he tries to run away Jessie says, “Oh No James, You’re tying the knot!”

4 Freedom
Next, in the same episode, a heart-warming quote from Jessie can be found. After everyone witnesses, the horror James had to go through with his family being unsupportive and his fiance trying to train him like a circus animal, Jessie shows him some affection. When he chooses the go back to Team Rocket instead of embracing his new lavish lifestyle with Jessie Bell he and Jessie have a heart to heart.
She tells James, “We may not make a lot of money but at least we have our freedom.”
3 A Corsola Caper
Team Rocket is on a mission to hijack a Corsola Pokemon and the shells artworks made from Corsola Pokemon shells. The gang scales to the top of a building and share a conversation before shimmying down their rope.

2 Failure Tradition
In the episode “Who Gets to Keep Togepi” Team Rocket lays a claim to keeping Togepi. They devise a plan to steal the egg from Ash and his friend.

Meowth says, “He’ll be shocked!”
James interrupts, “Don’t forget! We haven’t succeeded in capturing that little Pikachu from those kids. We have a proud tradition of failure to uphold!”

1 Best Of The Worst
The number one quote from Team Rocket comes from episode 9 when the gang visits the prestigious Pokemon Tech school. Jessie and James were previously students at the school but flunked out. Meowth teases them and James complains about the sight of the school bringing back horrible memories.

Alternating back and forth similar to their team motto Jessie and James trade-off reciting the lines, “We studied for the big test, so sure we would beat all the rest.”
