Players can evolve their Eevee into Glaceon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. While the Eevee evolutionary line has been a fan-favorite for every Pokémon generation, the fourth generation introduced the world to Glaceon and Leafeon. These were the first new Eevee forms since Pokémon Gold & Silver and featured some of the coolest unique evolutionary methods to complete. In the past, players needed to use evolution stones or raise friends to get a specific Eevee evolution. Unfortunately, to get Glaceon, players will need to wait until much later in BDSP.

Before players can find get a Glaceon, they will need to find its pre-evolved form, Eevee, first. Fortunately, the game offers a way for players to get one for free. Upon entering Hearthome City, players can enter the house closest to the Pokémon Center to encounter Bebe. She will speak to the player and eventually offer them an Eevee to join their team.

Now that players have an Eevee, they can turn it into a Glaceon. In order to do this, players will need to have access to Snowpoint City already. At Snowpoint, players can find the seventh gym leader with Candice and uncover the secret surrounding Regigigas. Snowpoint is the northern-most city in Sinnoh and is where players need to go in both Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl to evolve Eevee into Glaceon.

From Snowpoint City, leave from the city’s front entrance, and there will be a small boulder surrounded by grass. If the player interacts with it, it will read, “The bolder is encrusted with ice. It is bone-chilling to the touch.” Now, players just need to level up their Eevee once while being near this icy rock. Players can use a Rare Candy item to instantly level up Eevee or defeat wild Pokémon in the grass nearby.

Similar to Glaceon, players can also obtain a Leafeon. If the player goes to the Day Care center in Solaceon Town and breeds their Glaceon with a Ditto, the caretaker will give them an egg. Players can find a Ditto within the dens in the Grand Underground or by exploring Route 218. After walking about 2500 steps with the egg in the player’s party, it will hatch into an Eevee. Players can turn this Eevee into another Glaceon or transform it into the other Eevee evolutions in the game. Every Eeveelution in Pokémon is present except for Sylveon, who was first introduced in Pokémon X and Y, a title that was released after the initial Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Glaceon can be an incredibly powerful special attacker for taking down Dragon, Bug, Grass, and Flying-type Pokémon.
