Pokémon BDSP Where to Find Razor Fang (& What It’s For)

The Razor Fang is an item in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl that players can give to their Pokémon to potentially inflict “flinch” on their opponents when dealing damage. For clarification, “flinching” is a unique combat mechanic that prevents an afflicted enemy Pokémon from making a move for a single turn. However, this mechanic isn’t the only reason Pokémon fans might want the Razor Fang. Gligar, a rare Pokémon in Pokémon BDSP, can be evolved into Gliscor if players give it a Razor Fang during nighttime. Gliscor, with its diverse moveset and unique Hidden Ability, can be a favorable choice in many Pokémon battles.

Nevertheless, players wishing to acquire the Razor Fang in early to mid-game might be disappointed, as it can only be obtained in the post-game portion of Pokémon BDSP. To obtain the Razor Fang item in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players must enter the Battle Park, which is only accessible once they become the League Champion and receive the National Dex.

To become the Champion in Pokémon BDSP, players must battle their way through Sinnoh, collecting every gym badge and defeating the Elite Four. The next step to entering the Battle Park in post-game Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is obtaining the National Dex from Professor Oak. Pokémon fans will receive the National Mode of their Pokédex once they’ve completed their Sinnoh Dex by “seeing” all 150 base Pokémon in the game. Players should bear in mind that the Legendary Pokémon will be different depending on the game version they own. To “see” either Dialga or Palkia, head to Celestic Town after becoming the Champion. Then, speak to the older woman in the building at the top center of the map. She will provide a photo of the opposite Legendary variant, which will count towards the Pokédex’s completion.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl – How to Get the Razor Fang

Once players have completed the specified requirements, they can access the Battle Park in Fight Town in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. After going through the front gate, head to the area’s southwest corner and pick up the Pokéball lying on the ground. Interacting with the ball will give players the Razor Fang and place it in their inventory.

An alternative method is to obtain the Razor Fang in Pokémon BDSP; however, Pokémon fans still need to beat Cynthia and become the League Champion. Enter the Fight Area and into the Battle Park, but, this time, continue going straight down the path to the Battle Tower. Inside the tower, players can exchange Battle Points or BP currency for various items at the Battle Park Exchange Service. The Razor Fang item in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl is available for purchase for 5 BP.
