Pokemon has dropped a new trailer for Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl featuring free gifts you’ll get should you order the games early.

You would think after a year that has been loaded with Pokemon content, including new games, there would be no more to come from the 25-year-old franchise for the foreseeable future. Well, that’s where you’re wrong. The Pokemon Company may well have saved the best for last when it comes to its marathon 2021. The launch of Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

The Diamond & Pearl remakes arrive on Nintendo Switch November 19, 2021, and a new trailer just dropped giving you even more reason to pick up the games as soon as they’re available. After showcasing some of the games’ gym leaders and Team Galactic, it ends with a handful of bonuses players will get should they pick up one or both of the games early.

The best bonus of all the ones featured in the trailer is a Manaphy egg, and all you need to do to qualify for it is buy a copy of Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl before February 21, 2022. Once you have fired up your remake for the first time, select Mystery Gift through Get Via Internet before the date mentioned above. That will get you the egg which you will then need to walk around the Sinnoh region to hatch your Manaphy.

Game Freak is clearly keen to get people buying these remakes asap as that’s not the only early purchase bonus being offered up. Perhaps it’s worried some people will be holding out until Legends: Arceus launches on January 28, 2022. If you buy the downloadable version of the game before February 21, 2022, you’ll also get 12 quick balls. Plus platinum outfits, whether you download the games or buy them physically.

Plenty of reasons to pick up a copy early on top of getting it in time for a full playthrough before Legends: Arceus arrives and potentially changes the future of Pokemon games. While it has since been confirmed that Arceus will not technically be open world, it will still be very different from any Pokemon game that has come before it.
