How To Get Golden Acorns
Complete Orders
Each completed order will earn you 50 golden acorns. If you have any turns remaining after you’ve completed your order, you’ll earn five extra golden acorns for each turn left. With that in mind, it’s in your best interest to try and complete each order in as few moves as possible!
Complete Café Challenges
After completing Order #10, you’ll unlock “Café Challenges”, which are cards listing three different challenges you’ll have to fulfill while working on orders. Each completed task will earn you a bonus, but each completed card will earn you a hefty number of golden acorns.
Login Bonuses
Each day you log into the game you’ll get some kind of reward that will help you and your order-making. Sometimes those bonuses will be golden acorns, so make sure to log in every day for a chance to grab some free in-game cash.
Microtransactions
Pokémon Café Mix is free to play, but if you’re interested in buying more acorns in a pinch, you can purchase some in exchange for real money. For the Switch game, you can use a Nintendo eShop gift card, and for the mobile game, you can use either an iTunes or Google Play gift card. For both versions, you can also use a credit card.
How To Use Golden Acorns
Buy More Moves
Each order puzzle in Pokémon Café Mix comes with a set number of moves, so if you run out and want to keep going, you’ll have to cough up some golden acorns. When you first run out of moves, you’ll receive the option to purchase three more turns for 900 acorns. After that, the pricing for more turns goes up significantly, so be wary of your turns left and acorn count when heading into a challenging order.
Buy More Lives
Pokémon Café Mix has a limit of five lives, which are fully restored after a set amount of time. But if you’re impatient and want to keep playing, even with no lives left, you can recover all five lives for 900 acorns. You can always purchase hearts, even when you’re not at zero; but since 900 acorns are the sole price for a full recovery, it’s recommended only to buy more lives once you’re fully out!
Buy Items
Items are helpful bonuses that can be useful when working on a challenging order. You’ll periodically get items through daily logins and gifts, but if you’re in need of some extra help, you can trade in golden acorns for items. However, you can only buy an item if your stock of that specific item is fully depleted.
