Pokémon Café Mix is the charming new puzzle Pokémon game, where players must run their own café to complete orders and keep customers happy. Players take on the role of a newly minted café staff member and must help the rest of the staff to fulfill orders of various Pokémon-themed dishes in order to build up their relationship with customers, unlock new recipes, and entice new types of Pokémon customers to the café.

Each order is unique and features different requirements in order to clear, but a common factor in many orders is reaching a certain score in order to completely fulfill the order. As orders get more and more complicated, the score limit will go up, meaning that players must keep an eye out to ensure they can hit those high scores.

But getting a certain score can be tricky, so here are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind when aiming for a high score while playing Pokémon Café Mix!

High Number Links = Lots of Points

The puzzles in Pokémon Café Mix require players to create long links of same-type Pokémon icons in a chain. Depending on how long of a chain you can create determines how many points you’ll get for that specific chain. Aim for making chains in the high teens, or even in the twenties if there are enough Pokémon icons available. It’s also not a bad idea to get used to making high-number links in early orders, as harder order eventually require players to make links with upwards of 20 same-type Pokémon icons.

As an additional bonus, there is no time limit when completing orders in the game, so be sure to use that to your advantage. Take as much time as you need to strategize, count the icons on the screen, and plan out your moves to ensure the most points as possible. Plus, less number of moves it takes you to finish an order, the more golden acorns you’ll receive. So take your time and strategize!

Collect Pokémon And Use Them To Your Advantage

As you complete more orders and recruit more Pokémon to join your café staff, you’ll gain more Pokémon with different “specialties” (affinities for different kinds of menu items at the café). Before beginning each order, the game will recommend which Pokémon in your staff roster would make the best leader. Be sure to take note of that suggestion and pick that certain Pokémon to receive an extra point upon completion of the order.

Use Cafè Skills

In addition to having its own specialty, each Pokémon has its own unique cafè skills, aka special moves that can be used when trying to complete orders. Most café skills have to do with clearing a large number of Pokémon icons or helping you create high-number links. Either way, they can be very helpful when trying to get a high score.
