Pokemon Fan Accurately Predicted Galarian Slowbro’s Appearance in Sword and Shield

This Redditor accurately predicted Pokemon’s Galarian Slowbro design months before it was revealed to the public in a stunning piece of art.

Months before the actual reveal of Galarian Slowbro, one Redditor’s art piece accurately predicted its design. FunHaversClub didn’t have much to off of aside from the small tease shown above that came alongside Galarian Slowpoke’s reveal, but most would say this Pokemon prediction was spot on.

Pokemon’s Galarian form of Slowbro has a Shelder on its arm rather than on its tail, and the toxins emitted by the Shelder have changed the Pokemon’s type to Psychic/Poison. For the most part, the design elements are the same between the two variations, though there is some heavy color palette swapping involved.

Redditor FunHaversClub drew up the picture below as their best guess at what Galarian Slowbro and Slowking would look like, and so far the first half of that prediction seems to be spot on. The rest will have to wait until Galarian Slowking is actually announced and shown.

Those familiar with the actual Galarian Slowbro design may even have some trouble telling the two apart. For the most part, the coloring is pretty exact. This artist extrapolated from the purple-tinted tail and right arm shown in the teaser to do the same thing on Galarian Slowbro’s head, but noticed that the teaser didn’t show Slowbro’s feet as being purple. There are some other differences as well, such as the shape of the purple on the Pokemon’s head or the fact that the artist’s rendition shows no purple on Galarian Slowbro’s left arm, but those are all pretty minor.

For the most part, commenters have been very supportive, congratulating the artist for getting it so darn close to the actual thing. There are those which point out the few differences between the two, but even they tend to acknowledge that those sorts of minor missteps are nothing to be ashamed of. It seems that now people are curious to see whether FunHavingClub’s Galarian Slowking prediction comes true as well, as the design is pretty cool looking. Unfortunately, fans will just have to wait and see.

The same artist even did a rendition of Galarian Slowbro with what they call the “Infinity Shelder,” a golden Shelder filled to the brim with evolution stones representing the MCU’s Thanos and his Infinity Stones. This image is both hilarious and extremely well done, especially considering it was basically a simple color swap of a few things from their first correct prediction.

Galarian Slowbro will be coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield in DLC.
