Although it might be difficult to tell from the original photos, the card is also holographic thanks to sparkles mixed with varnish on the outer layer of the painting. Considering that the pictures in the original post are still photos taken from enough of a distance to fit the whole thing in frame, it makes sense that the little details like that might not be readily apparent. Either way, it’s a great depiction of this incredibly rare Pokemon card that has become such an icon of the trading card collectors world and a symbol for the series’ longevity.

Fan works like this Charizard painting sit in an interesting area for the community as a whole, sharing a type of reverence for something as simple as a Pokemon trading card game.
