The latest episode of Pokemon Generations is out now, featuring Team Aqua and their plans to return mythical Pokemon Kyogre to its powerful Primal form.

Another week has passed and yet another episode of Pokemon Generations is upon us. This time the show features Team Aqua’s leader Archie and his unwavering determination to change the world using the incredible power of Primal Kyogre.

Just as we saw from Team Magma’s perspective in last week’s episode, the eighth installment of Pokemon Generations shows off the villainous Team Aqua in their quest to create a perfect world. It begins with Leader Archie and his team of grunts finding the chamber in the Cave of Origin where the mythical Pokemon Kyogre lies dormant. Archie goes to awaken the powerful beast into its Primal form, a transformation that would make Kyogre capable of reshaping the world into its natural state, when Admin Shelly shouts for him to stop.

In the third generation of Pokemon games, Shelly (or her Pokemon Ruby counterpart Tabitha) discovers that the title’s legendary beast is more powerful than the team had initially predicted, something that could spell the end of the world if the creature is awakened. Archie ignores her pleas, using the Blue Orb to force Kyogre to undergrow its Primal Reversion transformation and awaken from its slumber.

Of course, all does not go according to plan and the power of Primal Kyogre is too much for the planet to bear — leaving it up to the game’s protagonist in Alpha Sapphire to save the world before all land is dragged underwater. This latest episode of Pokemon Generations doesn’t feature the player character Brendan whatsoever, a choice that is made in many episodes in order to give us a look into scenes that we never saw while playing through the original games.

For those who haven’t come across the new Pokemon series before now, Pokemon Generations is a weekly series that will run until December 23 and aims to shed new light on the classic Pokemon franchise of games. All eight episodes are available on YouTube for free, beginning with Episode 1: The Adventure. This episode, along with last week’s clip, focused on the third generation’s Hoenn region, though the series aims to show new stories from all off the series’ locations.

It’s entirely possible that, given Pokemon Sun and Moon’s release date, we will even get a look into the Alola region after the new games release next month. This is something that would be sure to incentivize nostalgic viewers toward picking up the latest iterations in the franchise.

The first seven episodes of Pokemon Generations are available to watch on YouTube right now, with the remaining episodes to be posted every week until December 23, 2016.
