Pokemon GO Best Kyurem Raid Counters (December 2021)

December 2021 is jam-packed with enticing Battle Raid bosses in Pokemon GO, making it a very busy month for fans for the PvE side of the mobile AR game. Tomorrow, December 16, ushers in the first big rotation of the month and brings another powerful boss to the spotlight for battle.

Kyurem will take over the tier 5 Battle Raid slot from 10 am local time on December 16 until 10 am local on December 31. That means Pokemon GO players have the full second half of the month to head out and challenge the powerful and meta relevant Legendary and, hopefully, add it to their collection.

Kyurem is a Dragon- and Ice-type, which means that its primary weaknesses are going to be Dragon-, Steel-, Fighting-, and Fairy-. A few of the best Kyurem counters have been popular choices for previous Raid Bosses, so hopefully players already have a fairly powerful team assembled. If not, be sure to take advantage of Elite TMs and lots of Candy and Stardust to power up a strong roster before entering this Legendary Raid Battle.

Best Kyurem Counters

  • Shadow Metagross – Bullet Punch/Meteor Mash
  • Lucario – Counter/Aura Sphere

As always, trainers can definitely get through the battle without this ideal counter roster, as long as they still prepare carefully. Take advantage of the appropriate counter types and enter the battle with a minimum of five other players (ideally using some Friendship bonuses) for the best odds of survival and the opportunity to take down the boss and earn that exciting Legendary encounter.

The community should learn much more about exact details throughout the early days of the Season of Heritage. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
