Pokemon GO Best SetUp and League for Aeroblast Lugia

The signature move of the legendary Pokemon Lugia has been added into the GAME_MASTER file of Pokemon GO. This means that players will soon be able to have Lugia knowing the move Aeroblast for the various battles they will face in the future.

While the move is already in the files, Aeroblast is not officially available in Pokemon GO at this time. Because of this, players will need to wait some time before they can either catch Lugia knowing the move or teach Lugia the move with a TM.

Aeroblast is a flying-type charge move with a base power of 180, making it a very powerful move to have. While Lugia isn’t known for its damage per second in Pokemon GO’s PVP scene, this move may shake up the meta.

Lugia’s base stats in Pokemon GO are an attack of 193, a defense of 310, and stamina of 235. This makes Lugia very much on the tanky side, but it isn’t often used in league battles due to not having as much attack as other powerful Pokemon.

With Aeroblast, the move is essentially the same as Solarbeam, another very good charge move. However, it has a key difference from Solarbeam other than the obvious type difference. This would be the move’s duration with it being 1.5 seconds faster, which means a lot in the fast paced battles that take place in the Pokemon GO league battles.

While the move is definitely a great one, it most likely won’t cause Lugia to become a top contender in PVP battles. However, if players are going to use Lugia in battle, it is recommended for players to have Lugia know Extrasensory as its fast move alongside Aeroblast as its charge move. Lugia is weak to dark, electric, ghost, ice, and rock-type moves. Meanwhile, Lugia resists fighting, ground, grass, and psychic-type moves.

Lugia can have a max CP of 3703, but that doesn’t mean that players should definitely use it in the ultra league cup or other high ranking PVP leagues. However, it is very likely that players will be using it for the Master League this season, so players can feel if Lugia is actual good fit in their teams or not.

It is unknown when Aeroblast will be made available in Pokemon GO, but players can currently go after Lugia in legendary raids. These Lugia raids will be running up until November 16th, 2020.

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
