Pokemon GO Bidoof Breakout Field Research Tasks and Rewards

Pokemon GO’s Bidoof Breakout event is set to run from June 25 to July 1, and it puts all of its focus on the titular Normal-type Pokemon. This focus manifests in a number of different ways, including a set of event-exclusive Field Research. For those Pokemon GO players that would like full details on the Bidoof Breakout Field Research, a complete list of its tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

Before jumping into the Bidoof Breakout Field Research tasks and rewards, it is worth mentioning that fans will earn increased Catch XP during the event. As such, players that are looking to level up in Pokemon GO should make sure to carve out some time over the next week for catching Pokemon. In particular, they should focus on June 29 and 30 when there will be a 4x Catch XP multiplier.

Pokemon GO: Bidoof Breakout Field Research Tasks and Rewards

  • Catch a Bidoof (Bidoof Encounter)
  • Catch 3 Bidoof (Bidoof Encounter)
  • Catch 5 Bidoof (10 Poke Balls)

Unsurprisingly, this Field Research is all centered around catching Bidoof, and that should not be a very difficult task to tackle. Indeed, Bidoof will be spawning at an increased rate for the duration of the event, and PoGO players should thus encounter it quite frequently. Additionally, a majority of these tasks offer Bidoof encounters as rewards, which will occasionally allow players to chain the Field Research together.

Completing PoGO’s Bidoof Breakout Field Research is certainly not the only reason to catch the Pokemon during this event, though, as indeed there are some additional incentives for doing so. More specifically, the Bidoof that spawn throughout the event can be equipped with moves that they would not typically have, and here are details on exactly how that breaks down:

  • Bidoof caught from June 25 at 10am to June 26 at 11:59pm can have Shadow Ball
  • Bidoof caught from June 27 at 12am to June 28 at 11:59pm can have Thunderbolt
  • Bidoof caught from June 29 at 12am to June 30 at 11:59pm can have Ice Beam

To note, players can use a Charged TM to teach a Bidoof any of these moves on July 1 from 10am to 8pm. Additionally, it will be possible to use an Elite Charged TM to do the same thing after Bidoof Breakout has concluded. This means that players need not be too concerned if they do not find their preferred Bidoof during the event, though fans that want to save their TMs should do their best to catch one.
