Pokemon GO Egg Event Adds New Pokemon to Hatch

Last month, it felt as if Pokémon GO players were practically barraged by event after event, and this month has been no different. No one is complaining, though, as events are vital to the life of the game. In compliance with this never-ending event trend, Niantic has recently announced and began yet another Eggstravaganza event, making several Pokémon who hatched from 5KM or 10KM eggs hatch from 2KM instead.

However, it remains unknown whether or not every Pokémon that can hatch from the higher-tier eggs has a place in the event. While players have been diligently compiling an extensive list of hatched Pokémon, it may not yet be complete, especially considering any new additions. With the dedication of Pokémon GO players, though, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a solid list confirmed soon.

With some old and some new, here’s a confirmed list of Pokémon currently hatching 2KM eggs: baby Pokémon (such as Pichu, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Azurill, Wynaut, and Ralts), Abra, Shellder, Onix, Eevee, Wailmer, Mareep, Slakoth, Poochyena, Scyther, Girafarig, Spheal, Chansey, Barboach, Trapinch, Dratini, Swinub, Corphish, Kabuto, Nosepass, Luvdisc, Snorlax, Togepi, Pineco, Mantine, Larvitar, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Taillow, Wingull, Makuhita, Carvanha, Baltoy, Lileep, Anorith, Feebas, Chimecho, Spheal, Bagon, and Beldum.

This list definitely gives players motivation to return to the augmented reality mobile game for the opportunity to hatch several Larvitars, Bagons, or Beldums. Players also get bonus candy and double Stardust throughout the event as yet another motivator. Moreover, this event has also introduced several new shiny forms of Pokémon to keep players engaged throughout the whole event.

After all, there is nothing more unifying for a gaming community than events that bring the community together, such as the returning Lugia battle raid. With the Eggstravaganza event, Lugia raid, and the upcoming Bulbasaur-themed community day, it’s never been a better time to play Pokémon GO. It’s certainly an egg-citing time to download (or re-download) the game, as the event lasts through April 2. Good luck out there, trainers!

Pokémon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
