Pokemon GO Every Field Research Pokemon Encounter Reward

So far, Pokemon GO’s new Research mechanic seems to be a major hit. The new feature offers players tasks to complete on a daily basis with rewards that are actually exciting and provide some real motivation to stay logged in and playing. Although many of the Field Research quest rewards are items, some quests also have the chance to reward a special encounter. Although the encounter may seem like a mystery, Pokemon GO players who don’t mind spoilers can actually figure out which pokemon they’ll be seeing.

Each particular quest has one to three possible pokemon that can spawn as a reward (except for the battle in a gym quest, which has seven possible rewards). The prizes are meant to be a surprise, but just a few days of compiling data has already cracked the pattern to the rewards. One very helpful Reddit user put that data together into an easy to read graphic for players who want the full spoiler list.

This guide is a ton of help for players who are trying to decide whether a particularly difficult quest is worth the effort. For example, if you already have a 98% IV Rapidash, then finding three new pokestops to spin for a Ponyta may not be worth the effort. Just don’t forget to complete at least one Field Research quest a day to earn your Breakthrough rewards!

Although some of the rewards might not seem very exciting to the most hardcore players, keep in mind that a lot of these pokemon may be new, or at least very hard to evolve, for rural players. The Research system in general seems to be a big answer to the longstanding cry for help from trainers who live outside of major cities or just don’t dig Battle Raids. So far, this seems like a great solution that also offers some fun activities for the players in more populated areas.

Good luck out there, trainers!
