A whole slew of events and Pokemon have been launched today in Pokemon Go, and players will need all the help they can get to finish them all.

Pokemon GO Holiday Event 2019 Research Tasks Guide

As of midnight last night the Pokemon Go Holiday 2019 event has begun, and will last until Wednesday, January 1st, 2020, when it will end at 11:59 p.m. This time is unique to each Pokemon GO trainer’s respective time zone, and if players want to complete each of these tasks, they’re gonna need some help.

The new event features some goofy costumes on certain Pokemon, and challenges with their own rewards that range far and wide in their scope and difficulty. Pikachu is once again sporting some crazy hats, and throughout the wild ice-type Pokemon galore that are associated with a plethora of event-related challenges.

The New Pokemon

Well, these Pokemon aren’t exactly new, but they certainly are sporting new looks. For example, Stantler has been sighted by players in New Zealand, and decorated with Christmas bells, while Shiny Pichu has been seen sporting a winter beanie hat. Players also may have noticed that Pikachu and Raichu are now conspicuously sporting Winter Beanies as well.

Ice-type Pokemon will also be appearing in the wild such as Sneasel, Snorunt, Delibird, and more! Cubchoo will be making its Pokemon GO debut as well during this holiday event! The Pokemon appearing in eggs during the holiday are Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Vulpix, Pichu wearing beanies, and Stantler wearing bells.

Other notable Pokemon that Pokemon Go players will see during the event are Snover, Snorunt, Cryogonal, and Delibird.



Research Tasks

A few of the latest research tasks have been confirmed by Pokemon GO players as well. The currently confirmed holiday events include Taking 5 Snapshots of Ice-type Pokemon, Catching 5 Ice-type Pokemon, Catching 5 Delibird or Snover, Catching 10 Ice-Type Pokemon, and Hatching 7 Eggs! Each of these comes with their own unique reward, including Pikachu with a beanie, 1000 Stardust, Lapras, Cubchoo, and Snover.

Event Bonuses

Throughout the Pokemon GO 2019 Holiday Event players are given a myriad of bonuses, including the ability to open 2x as many gifts a day, carry 2x as many gifts, and a guaranteed single-use Incubator per day.

There are bonuses that are specific to each day. For example between December 24th and 25th, players get 2x catch and transfer candy. For December 26th and 27th, 2x catch Stardust, and for December 28th and 29th, 2x catch XP. For December 30th, 31st, and January 1st, the bonus is 1/2 egg distance.

With all of this going on, Pokemon GO trainers certainly have more than enough going on to keep their Pokemon plates full for the holidays.
