Pokemon GO How the Psychic Event Can Help with Celebi Special Research

Right now, Pokemon GO is in the midst of a psychic-type event that sees the spawn rate of psychic-type Pokemon increased and adds shiny Drowzee and Hypno to the popular mobile game. Some players may be focused on using this event to catch shiny Drowzee or get a gold medal for catching psychic-types, but this new event is helpful in other ways as well, particularly as it pertains to the Celebi Special Research quest.

Players that make it to the seventh page of the Celebi Special Research quest in Pokemon GO will come upon a quest that asks them to catch 40 psychic- or grass-type Pokemon. Players that made it to that page before the recent Chikorita Community Day event were likely able to complete it without too much trouble, but others may have missed the opportunity. With psychic Pokemon everywhere because of the current event in Pokemon GO, fans should have no trouble completing this objective right now.

Anyone that wants to take advantage of the psychic event to complete Celebi Special Research should make it a point to get out and play as much as possible for the next week or so. That’s because the psychic-type event is scheduled to end on October 14, meaning players only have until next Sunday to participate.

After the psychic-type event ends, Pokemon GO players may find it much more difficult to complete Celebi Special Research. It’s true that grass-type Pokemon can be fairly common in some areas, but right now psychic Pokemon are literally everywhere, and so it is much easier to complete the objective while the event is live.

Once the psychic-type event in Pokemon GO wraps up, players may be wondering what’s next for augmented reality game, and as it turns out, a Halloween event is very likely. Pokemon GO has hosted a Halloween event these past two years where it greatly increases the spawn rate of ghost- and dark-type Pokemon, and also gives players double candy. Niantic has teased that the Halloween event is returning for 2018, but fans are still waiting on an official announcement.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
