However, there are other ways that players can get Illumise and Volbeat encounters to ensure that they snag the region-exclusive Pokemon while the Buddy Up event is still live.

It just so happens that there are a couple of Pokemon GO Buddy Up Field Research tasks that are specific to Illumise and Volbeat, meaning players can complete them to guarantee adding them to their collection. To get these Buddy Up Field Research tasks, Pokemon GO players will want to spin as many PokeStops as possible.
