Pokémon Go How To Find (& Catch) Umbreon (Valentine Collection)

Umbreon is one of the Pokemon needed to complete the Valentine Collection in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can find and capture it. The Valentine Collection challenge is only available for a limited time. Upon completing the challenge, players will be rewarded with Silver Pinap Berries, Rocket Radars, and TMs. Although, the real reward is the exclusive collection medal that comes with completing each of these challenges. The medal itself doesn’t do anything but act as a trophy for completing the challenge on time. Umbreon is 1 out of the 12 Pokemon needed to finish this task. This guide will show players where they can find Umbreon in Pokemon Go.

All of the Pokemon needed for this Collection challenge are all themed around love. Some of the Pokemon are original pairings like Latias, Latios, and both Nidorans. Other Pokemon require friendship to evolve like Umbreon and Espeon. The last chunk of Pokemon is literally in the shape of hearts with Luvdisc and Alomomola. Fortunately, a majority of these can be found in the wild. Unfortunately, Umbreon and Espeon are only available in raid battles. This guide will show players how they can find, defeat, and capture Umbreon for this challenge.

How To Find (& Catch) Umbreon in Pokemon Go (Valentine Collection)

Umbreon is one of the Pokemon for this challenge that can only be captured in raid battles. Umbreon will appear in 3-star raids, making it much easier to defeat in battle when compared to 5-star raids. Those are the bright yellow eggs on the world map. For lower-level trainers, players should still try and team up with at least 5 other players. If the player is well over level 30, they should be able to defeat it alone. Umbreon itself is weak to Fairy, Bug, and Fighting-type moves so make sure to bring these when participating in the raid battle.

Once the battle is over, players will be given a limited amount of Premier Balls based on how well they performed in the battle. The best thing to do to prevent it from running away is using Golden or regular Razz Berries to increase the catch rate. Wait until it finishes its attack animation and then throw the ball using a curve throw. This makes it much easier to capture it. Make sure to complete this challenge before February 18th to receive all of the rewards and that exclusive medal.
