Niantic has spent the last two weeks revealing clues that, when combined, award players with a code to redeem as well as the added extra.
Pokémon GO’s GO Fest 2020 is almost upon us. Niantic has been building hype for the event all month long via timed research and for the past 13 days, puzzles and clues. Each day, Niantic has dropped a new clue and when combined, the clue’s answers will create a code. A code that, when redeemed, rewards players who bothered to solve it with some free Pokémon GO loot.
Some of the clues have been tricky to solve, while others have been pretty easy to figure out. Figuring out what needs to be placed at a PokéStop to attract Pokémon, for example. Easy. Remembering which Pokémon was featured in the Safari Zone Liverpool artwork, on the other hand, not so much.
Luckily for trainers who haven’t been able to figure out all of the clues, we have the answers to all 13 via the link above. That link also includes the 13-character code trainers will need to redeem in order to receive their loot. The code cannot be redeemed in-game, and requires a few extra steps. Nothing worth having ever comes easy though, right?
To redeem the code, Pokémon GO players will need to head to the rewards page at Niantic Labs. There, they should be presented with somewhere to enter the code. Trainers will need to sign into whatever account they use to play Pokémon GO and then enter the code in the box provided. Make sure the code is correct and type it carefully as a few wrong attempts will result in being locked out.
It became clear after the fact that the code was only active on a first-come, first-served basis. Chances are by this point, trainers who enter the code will not receive a thing. As a make-good for trainers who have followed along with the clues for the past two weeks, Niantic revealed a second code (5PTHMZ3AZM5QC) that can be redeemed by everyone in the same way as detailed above. It will reward the redeemer with 10 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, and a Sinnoh Stone.
