Pokemon GO Legendary Lunch Hour Raids Returning Next Week

Niantic has announced the return of the Legendary Lunch Hour. The company must have deemed this mini event a success after it was introduced last month, because it’s coming back, allowing Pokemon GO players to use their lunch breaks to take on a limited-time lunch hour raid.

The Legendary Lunch Hour raid had its first go back in March, where players used those sixty minutes to challenge the Legendary Pokemon Dialga. Beginning April 10, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (local time), a Giratina (Origin forme) raid will spawn at gyms not blocked by an egg.

Because the event is so short, it is highly recommended participants check out the surrounding area first and note the gyms that are open. Players will want to be stocked up and prepared to dive in before noon. If the Legendary Lunch Hour raid continues to vibe well with Pokemon GO players, Niantic might want to consider making the event a weekly affair instead of once a month. Players will always welcome additional opportunities to catch Legendary Pokemon.

For those looking for events with a bit more oomph, Niantic has a slew of Pokemon GO Community Day events coming this summer. The weather is getting warmer, which means Pokemon GO will be encouraging players to head outdoors and catch some Pokemon. To prepare trainers, Niantic recently revealed Pokemon GO Community Day event dates for this summer, from May all the way through August. May Community Day is scheduled for the 19th, but there’s no information yet on what the featured Pokemon are or what activities will be made available to players. Details will begin to roll out closer to the event date.

With all of these Community Days to look forward to, Pokemon GO players can expect to be busy this summer. But for those hungry for even more, Niantic has announced another summer tour of Pokemon Fest this year. Just like last year, things will kick off in Chicago mid-June, then head to Dortmund, Germany. The tour will end in Asia, but Niantic has yet to name a location, promising to announce one in the future.

Pokemon GO is available now on Android and iOS devices.
