Pokemon GO trainers may not be heading out for into the world for events this month thanks to stay-at-home orders and social distancing best practices, but that doesn’t mean the game’s community won’t be keeping busy. Niantic has made some great temporary changes to Pokemon GO to make it easier thank ever to stay engaged in the game from home; including a number of events that can be completed without leaving the house.

In addition to the massive Throwback 2020 event that is about to take the game by storm, Pokemon GO trainers are also about to have a normal month’s worth of spotlight hours. The April spotlight days went off very smoothly and the game’s developers seem to have adjust spawn rates correctly to make these short events enjoyable for players who can’t leave their houses (though some extra incense definitely helps a lot too).

This weekly Spotlight Hour will put a special focus on one Pokemon and offer a limited time bonus, as well. Think of it like a very mini Community Day that usually features Pokemon who aren’t quite as popular as the real stars of the month. With the first April Spotlight just days away, players can now see all the details about the upcoming events…

Upcoming Pokémon Spotlight Hours

In the next few weeks, Pokémon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time and will continue to spotlight both a Pokémon and a special bonus! For each Pokémon Spotlight Hour, you can expect a different Pokémon and bonus.
