Another mythical Pokemon is being introduced to Pokemon GO alongside the Secrets of the Jungle event. This Pokemon is Zarude, a dual Dark and Grass-type that was only first revealed back in February 2020. Being part of Pokemon’s eighth generation, it is joining the few others of that generation within Pokemon GO.
Unlike most special research tasks in Pokemon GO, players have a limited amount of time to complete the Search for Zarude tasks. Players will have from Friday, October 1st at 10 AM to Sunday, October 10th at 8 PM to complete all of the task steps.
There are a total of five task steps in the Search for Zarude special research, but the last step is entirely made up of redeeming rewards. Completing all of the steps will allow players to encounter and attempt to capture Zarude.
Search for Zarude Step One
Completing all of these tasks will reward players with 250 Stardust, 10 Nanab Berries, and a Drilbur encounter. It will also allow players to move on to the next step.
Search for Zarude Step Two
After this step is done, players will get the additional rewards of 250 more Stardust, ten Razz Berries, and a Combee encounter. Lucky players may even get an encounter with a female Combee, which can evolve into Vespiquen.
Search for Zarude Step Three
Once all three of these tasks are done, players can redeem the step completion reward. It is made up of 500 Stardust, ten Pinap Berries, and an encounter with Nuzleaf.
Search for Zarude Step Four
This step will likely be take the most time of all the steps due to the amount of GO Rocket Grunts that need to be found and defeated. Completing it will give players 500 more Stardust, a Poffin, and a Rufflet encounter.
Search for Zarude Step Five
After claiming these bonus rewards, players will get the final prizes of 1,000 Stardust, ten Zarude Candies, and an encounter with Zarude itself.
