The Season of Legends is racing towards its close, but there’s still time for plenty of other events before the next season arrives in Pokemon GO. Today marks the start of Sustainability Week, which means there are tons of features, bonuses, and other exciting opportunities up for grabs in the mobile AR game.
As the Sustainability Week efforts attempt to help trainers reconnect with their local habitats and protect the environment, there are also some very exciting in-game reasons to get involved. The unlock rewards are just the tip of the iceberg and there’s a lot of other features and bonuses for players to get get excited about, including the debut of a Pokemon who is brand new to Pokemon GO.
Trainers can enjoy the event bonuses and features through April 25 and there is a lot to take in. Trainers will definitely want to complete the timed research in order to earn a bunch of Mega Candy rewards, but there are also increased spawns to take advantage of, special Battle Raid bosses, and other features. Be sure to review all of the event bonuses and features below to carefully plan ahead and take full advantage of all the great value that is up for grabs this week.

Starts: Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time through Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time
New Pokemon Debut
Binacle, the Two-Handed Pokémon, will be making its Pokémon GO debut!
Increased Spawns
Pokémon like Grimer, Drilbur, Trubbish, Ferroseed, and more will be appearing more often in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Trubbish!
Special 5km Egg Hatches
The following Pokémon will be hatching from 5 km Eggs: Diglett, Tangela, Goldeen, Budew, Cherubi, Finneon, and Drilbur.
Event Battle Raid Bosses
Vileplume, Alolan Exeggutor, Trubbish, Binacle, and more will be appearing in raids.
Field Research and Timed Research
Complete event-exclusive Field Research to earn encounters with Cottonee, Chespin, Binacle, and more.
There will also be event-exclusive Timed Research for you to enjoy.

Unlock Rewards Time and Details
The following rewards will be available on Sunday, April 25, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.
Tier 1( 2,500 activations): Five-star raids will appear more often.
Tier 2 (5,000 activations): A free bundle containing three Remote Raid Passes will be available in the shop. The rewards from Tier 1 will remain active.
Tier 3 (10,000 activations): A 2× Catch XP bonus will be live. The rewards from Tiers 1 and 2 will remain active.
With the above features in mind, trainers should be well prepared to take full advantage of the weeklong activity. Be sure to keep all the special spawns in mind and stock up on any needed Candy during this opportunity.
