Niantic’s augmented reality sensation has just received its biggest update so far. Go Beyond brought a Snorlax-sized amount of new content, and with it, the arrival of Gen 6 pocket monsters. With just under 20 Generation 6ers being released into the wild on the game’s first wave, here are all the last-gen Pokemon still to make an appearance in Pokemon Go.

Beginning with the recently past Gen 5 – containing Pokemon from the Unova region – the following “mons” and their full evolutions have still to be added to the current roster: Munna, Zorua, Vanillite, Frillish, Tynamo, Mienfoo, and Larvesta. Other Pokemon with variants instead of evolutions include Kyurem (White and Black), the Therian trio – Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus – Meloetta (Aria and Pirouette), and Keldeo (Ordinary and Resolute). The independent dragon-type monster Druddigon is also still to appear.

Moving further back to Gen 4 Pokemon of the Sinnoh region, Phione’s evolution, both Shaymin variants (Land and Sky), and the “creator of the Pokemon world” Arceus are yet to grace us with their presence. Lastly, the Hoenn region’s Kecleon is the only Pokemon from Generation 3 that’s still to appear. Kecleon has eluded the map of Pokemon Go despite being one of the first Gen 3 Pokemon to be announced – alongside Azurill and Wailmer – in the main game series. Its camouflage function may be the humorous reason behind the monster’s stalled debut, as the chameleon-inspired creature has yet to be spotted by trainers.

Generation 6 Pokemon from the Kalos region have spawned in the mobile game and will appear more frequently up until December 8 – to give trainers an increased chance to catch them. The new wave of wild Pokemon include Chespin, Delphox, Greninja, Talonflame, and Sword and Shield regular Diggersby. Klefki – the keyring Pokemon – has also been included as a regional exclusive in France. The Kalos region is known to be heavily influenced by France, featuring the in-game Lumiose City which was based on Paris with Prism Tower representing the Eiffel Tower.

Pokemon Go Beyond provided a healthy update to the game on November 30, including the long-awaited extension of the level cap to 50. Trainers can now level up quickly with the help of double XP, in order to reap some end-of-year bonuses before 2021 awakens. The update’s Seasons will generate more Mega Evolutions, rankings, and rewards, in addition to the QOL improvements to Adventure Sync, Buddy Adventure, Field Research, and more.
