After a very busy GO Fest 2020 event, Pokemon GO trainers around the world managed to unlock all of the exciting Ultra Reward bonuses that were on the table and set the stage for a very exciting three weeks in August. The series of events kicked off nearly two weeks ago with a dramatic Dragon Week event and now Enigma week is already more than halfway over. There are only a few days left to take advantage of all the special enigma spawns, Raids, and eggs and then it will be time for Unova Week to take over.
Each Ultra Reward event lasts for one full week, from Friday to Friday, and Enigma Week wraps up on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). With that in mind, players currently have about two and a half days to get the most out of the Enigma Week bonuses before that chance for a shiny Deoxys disappears from the map. Pokemon GO trainers can use the time to compete in Battle Raids before the next event rotation takes Deoxys and company away. They may also want to spend some time collecting any letters of Unown that they don’t have yet.
When Enigma Week concludes on Friday afternoon (pacific time), players will be able to immediately jump into the Unova Week bonuses and activities. Since there is no Enigma Week special timed research to complete, there isn’t anything in particular players should make sure they do before the event ends, aside from any personal goals they have set for themselves. There should be a countdown on the Today View that clearly states how many hours of the event bonuses remain, so players should keep an eye on that in the coming days to make sure they know when the next event is about to start in their local time zone.
When does Enigma Week end?
Enigma Week will run from Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).
What are the Enigma Week bonuses?
“The featured Pokémon range from the mysterious Elgyem to the powerful Deoxys! Deoxys will be in five-star raids, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one! You might also encounter a Shiny Staryu.”
Players should be sure to take a close look at their Pokedex before the event expires and confirm whether or not they need any evolutions that would be easier to obtain this week because of the candy available. Altough most players have evolved a Staryu by now, players are likely collecting Elgyem candy in mass quantities for the first time, so this will be a great opportunity to fill in that dex entry.
As trainers continue working through these amazing events, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal.
