A new update for Pokémon Home has fixed one of the app’s biggest glitches that prevented some users from logging in on mobile. Pokémon Home makes transferring caught pocket monsters a relatively easy process, but many have become frustrated with the app due to a host of issues and bugs that have rendered it unusable for lots of users.
Pokémon Home is a service that gives users cloud storage for their Pokémon. Available for both mobile and Nintendo Switch, the app allows users to transfer their collected monsters across various compatible Pokémon games, with limited storage for free users and a paid expanded version also available. Players of the recently-released Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are still waiting for app compatibility in order to store and transfer their latest catches, with Pokémon BDSP and Home integration expected in 2022.
As confirmed on the Google Play store, Pokémon Home has released a new update that aims to fix a number of issues, including the login problem experienced by users with their mobile device set to certain languages. In the patch notes for the new November update, The Pokémon Company has confirmed that additional changes have been made in order to “ensure a user-friendly experience” for all Pokémon Home fans, as well as changes to how the Catch Calendar is displayed. The new Pokémon Home update may be a small one, but it should help make the app more accessible to its users. Many Pokémon fans have grown frustrated with Pokémon Home, especially in recent weeks, with multiple users reporting an increase in crashes and freezes on mobile, believed to be related to a patch released in October. A number of the latest user reviews on Google Play indicate the problems have been widespread, with many impacted by the app crashing.
While users will likely be pleased to hear the Pokémon Home login glitch has been resolved, there are still lots of people awaiting Pokémon Diamond and Pearl integration. The latest Pokémon games, released earlier this month, have been popular with nostalgic players once again enjoying the Sinnoh region, with the remakes based on the original Nintendo DS games from 2006. Many have been disappointed to learn that Pokémon Home and BDSP compatibility won’t be coming until next year, expected to be in early 2022, but with the latest app fixes, at least Pokémon Home will be prepared for the integration.
