Pokemon Legends Arceus Where to Get Tumblestone

Pokemon Legends: Arceus looks different from anything Pokemon fans have seen before. This new kind of Pokemon game has a robust crafting system that allows players to make their own items like Poke Balls, but they will need lots of ingredients to do so.

What Are Tumblestones?

Pokemon Legends: Arceus has tons of materials and evolution stones out in the world that players can collect. Once the tutorial is finished and players finally have access to the Obsidian Fieldlands, they will finally be able to collect everything they need to make their own Poke Balls. Each type of ball needs different materials to make, but all recipes need at least one kind of Tumblestone.

There are a variety of different Tumblestones in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that allow players to make better Poke Balls. Each of the three Tumblestones makes a different kind of ball. For example:

  • Basic Balls – 1 Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn
  • Great Balls – 1 Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn and 1 Iron Chunk
  • Ultra Balls – 2 Tumblestones and 1 Apricorn and 2 Iron Chunks
  • Heavy Balls – 1 Black Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn
  • Leaden Balls – 1 Black Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn and 1 Iron Chunk
  • Gigaton Ball – 2 Black Tumblestones and 1 Apricorn and 2 Iron Chunks
  • Feather Ball – 1 Sky Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn
  • Wing Ball – 1 Sky Tumblestone and 1 Apricorn and 1 Iron Chunk
  • Jet Ball – 2 Sky Tumblestones and 1 Apricorn and 2 Iron Chunks

Where to Get Tumblestones in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Thankfully, plain Tumblestones can be found just about anywhere out in the world. These orange-red, rust-colored stones appear basically all over the map. In order to nab them, players will have to use their Pokemon to break rocks and crystals. All players have to do is toss their Pokemon at the Tumblestone using ZR, and the Pokemon will take care of the rest.

Black and Sky Tumblestones look basically the same as the regular Tumblestones, but they are black and light blue, respectively. Players can break these rocks the same way as the regular stones: by throwing a Pokemon toward the crystal. After players have collected these ingredients, they can head to a workshop, base camp, or craft on the fly with a Crafting Kit in order to craft some new Poke Balls.

If players don’t have the time to farm these stones for themselves and need Poke Balls right away, they can buy a few Tumblestones in town. Look for the NPC Anvin; he sells materials to make a variety of balls, including Tumblestones for 60 in-game dollars each.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available for Nintendo Switch.
