Pokemon Lets Go How to Use the Fortune Teller for Perfect Nature Pokemon

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee’s fortune teller is hiding a method for Pokemon trainers to pick the perfect nature for the Pokemon they catch. Pokemon optimization is a high priority for any veteran Pokemon trainer, and capturing a Pokemon with a perfect Nature is just one way to further optimize your Pokemon. It makes sense that with the release of Pokemon Let’s Go, trainers are hunting for ways to avoid randomness and guarantee the nature of the Pokemon they catch. Enter the Fortune Teller.

The Pokemon Let’s Go Fortune Teller resides within the Celedon City Pokemon Center. For the pricey cost of 10,000 Pokedollars, the Fortune Teller will ask the player two questions about flower colors. Depending on how the player answers these two questions, all wild Pokemon will have their Nature changes until it resets at midnight. Using the Fortune Teller, Pokemon trainers can decide on the specific Pokemon they want to catch and set the Natures of Pokemon before going hunting.

Redditor J_Hao made a handy chart that makes it very simple to choose a specific nature for Pokemon. For the first question, “Which flower do you water?” choose the color along the far left column. For the second question, “What flower would you thin out from the rest?” choose the color along the top row. The cell where the row and column you selected for question one and two meets is the Nature that will be selected. Note that the Fortune Teller won’t make this clear. You’ll only know for sure after you catch a wild Pokemon.

With Pokemon Natures under control, now Pokemon Let’s Go players can focus on other optimizations like IVs. Or even more importantly, getting Shiny versions of Pokemon.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee are available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
