Pokémon Masters November and December Updates Include Better Rewards And Raised Level Cap

Pokémon Masters’ producers Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi have been detailing company efforts to improve the game through a series of announcements, updating players on their plan of action. The initial statement informs players of the company’s immediate aims to adjust reward rates and add more story content. The producers’ most recent announcement addresses the company’s plan of action throughout November and December. It highlights details on reward rate adjustments and December’s aim to raise the level cap, as well as revamp battle difficulty and design.

November’s Focus: Increased Reward Rates

The first implementation of increased reward rates kicked off with the Caitlin and Reuniclus event. The event has been active since the end of October and will run through the 19th of November. This event has seen the total amount of gems rewarded increased by 900. Increased gem rewards are set to continue with the upcoming Ice-type Training Event starting up November 14th. An additional 600 gems will be rewarded for completing all missions correlating to the event.

A special rally event will also be taking place in mid-November, where the producers claim the game will record Trainer’s progress and announce their various milestones. For an overall monthly reward increase, Trainers have the possibility of earning up to 4,200 gems by way of November’s daily log-in rewards. A strong incentive to log-in each day this month.

December’s Focus: Level Cap Increase and Accommodations

In December, the producer letter notes the level cap is set to hit 120. To accommodate this increase, new difficulties ‘Very Hard’ and ‘Super Hard’ will be applied to courses. Battling courses on these advanced difficulty settings will allow Trainers to obtain new items, required to reach the heightened level cap. Further notes address changes being made to battle design (or game balance), and smoothing out the Trainer gameplay experience right out of the gates.

The producers’ most recent update teases at an early December event they say will introduce a Legendary sync pair, scoutable through partaking in the event. They were careful not to name any names, shrouding the identity of the upcoming pair in mystery.

Change Is In the Air

The Pokémon Masters team has heard player pleas and is working attentively, implementing a detailed plan of action to improve the game. Their immediate response to tweak mechanics which would boost gameplay experience in simple ways was a strategical first move. This strong initiative coupled with consistent communication with their players and diligent execution of long-term goals is a strong business plan which garters a promising future for the game.
