Pokemon Sword and Shield receive a new Japanese trailer that reveals some new Pokemon, Gym Leaders, and a ton of new footage of the Gala region and Dynamax battles.

The Pokemon Sword/Shield trailers may been been bombed with downvotes after E3 2019, but that doesn’t mean that the games aren’t going to be massive hits this fall. The upcoming Switch title is already one of the most pre-ordered games of the year and Pokemon fans are anxious to get hands on with the next full installment in the main franchise line. There are still a few months until release, but luckily a Japanese trailer for the game was posted this morning and it brings tons of new footage for fans to drool over.

The new Pokemon Sword/Shield trailer kicks off be showcasing the new areas to explore in the game and some of the awesome new and old Pokemon that can be found there. Everyone’s favorite Corgi-inspired Pokemon makes an appearance, along with a few other exciting new Dex entries that players will be hunting down this fall. The trailer goes on to introduce a long list of NPCs, who we will know more about once we get a translation of the audio.

After the NPCs make an appearance, most of the footage shifts to the battle arenas, where viewers get another look at the large area where trainers will battle each other. As expected, the trailer spends some time showing off the new supersized Dynamax feature, as well…

The trailer packs a ton of exciting footage for Pokemon fans and as the game’s November release date approaches, we should be learning a lot more about the upcoming title. There may not be a global Pokedex this time around, but there are still going to be a lot of new creatures to learn about before the game arrives.
