Shortly before the Isle of Armor expansion released for Pokémon Sword & Shield, Nintendo teased the Crown Tundra expansion, giving players a taste of what’s to come by letting them know that they will be able to encounter new and returning Legendary Pokémon. However, if recent datamining efforts are accurate, then players won’t have to wait long before finding things out for themselves.

After Isle of Armor released, dataminer SciresM was able to go through the game’s files and uncover a decent chunk of information pertaining to Crown Tundra. Based on what he was able to find, the source files reveal that the Crown Tundra expansion will have a lot of events dealing with Legendary Pokémon. Specifically, the dataminer was able to find events pertaining to the Musketeer Trio, the Galarian Legendary Birds, and the Regis. In regards to the Regis, it was found out that Regigigas will be obtainable via some sort of an event, which might suggest the other Regis already being present within Crown Tundra.

This was not the only information SciresM was able to uncover. After going through the files, the dataminer came upon two words: “CHIKA” and “MINSHUKU,” which he believes are some sort of locations where Legendary Pokémon can be caught, with “CHIKA” meaning “underground” and “MINSHUKU” meaning “guest house” or some sort of inn (though that remains to be seen how it pertains to Legendary Pokémon).

In addition to all that, the dataminer was able to find various logos describing the four expedition chapters of the Crown Tundra. Out of the discovered logos, one deals with the Galarian Legendary Birds (Legendary Tree), another one deals with the Regis (Titans), while a third logo may possibly pertain to the Ultra Beasts (Ultra Beyond). This information could hint at some type of Max Raids that’ll allow players to either fight or catch the Legendary Pokémon as part of an event.

With the Crown Tundra set to release in December, there is still plenty of time for more information to be officially announced by Nintendo, effectively confirming or denying the datamined information.
