Here’s where you can get a Lickitung and how to evolve it into Lickilicky in Pokémon Sword & Shield.
Let’s briefly go over the many disturbing facts about Lickitung, shall we? First, there’s the fact that it has a tongue that’s longer than most humans are tall and that it has extremely sensitive nerves that allow it to determine precise characteristics of objects by licking them. Consequently, Lickitung licks every new thing it sees.
Lickitung’s saliva is also caustic, according to Ultra Sun & Moon, and it also leaves a stinky odor. This is made worse by the fact that Lickitung likes to clean dirty surfaces using its tongue.
Anyway, if you still want to find a Lickitung in Sword & Shield, here’s what you need to know.
Where To Find Lickitung & Lickilicky
Lickitung and Lickilicky are only available with the new Isle of Armor expansion, so regular Sword & Shield owners will need to trade for one or transfer an older-gen version from Pokémon HOME.
You can find Lickitung at Soothing Wetlands, Challenge Beach, and Brawlers’ Cave on the Isle of Armor. Lickilicky can be found at Soothing Wetlands, but both their appearances are extremely rare, so expect to do some intense searching.
You can also catch Lickitung and Lickilicky in Max Raid Battles at Soothing Wetlands, Courageous Cavern, and Training Lowlands.
How To Evolve Lickitung Into Lickilicky
Lickitung evolves into Lickilicky once it learns the move Rollout. It learns Rollout at level 6, so you can get Lickilicky pretty early on if you’re lucky enough to find a Lickitung.
What Lickilicky Can Do In Battle
Uh… It can lick things? Honestly, Lickilicky isn’t exactly a powerhouse. It has good bulk, but poor speed and only average attack power. You have a good selection of Technical Records to choose from, with great moves like Earthquake, Fire Blast, and Power Whip to give Lickilicky great coverage, but it doesn’t learn anything potent on its own.
You use Lickilicky because you just love the little slimeball, not because it’s good.
