Skorupi is a dark and poisonous Pokémon with the likeness of a scorpion. Despite its menacing pincers, Skorupi still comes off rather meager, but don’t be fooled. This little Pokémon’s poison is lethal on the battlefield, and once it evolves into Drapion, its prowess grows triple-fold. Finding & Evolving Skorupi
Skorupi can seldomly crop up as a random encounter along Route 6. However, the best chance of finding one is along the Motostoke Riverbank, roaming the overworld during rain or normal weather conditions. It’s worth keeping an eye out around Giant’s Mirror as well. Skorupi inhabits this region of the Wild Area, particularly under overcast skies, rain, intense sun, and normal weather conditions.
Trainers can also poke their heads inside raid dens throughout the Wild Area. Skorupi raids are hosted within the East Lake Axewell, Giant’s Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, Motostoke Riverbank, and the North Lake Miloch regions.
Once captured, Skorupi is easy enough to evolve into Drapion by training it up to level 40.
Triple Threat Battle Tactics
Drapion hits hard, moves fast, and has a fortified defense. With the competitive attack, defense, and speed stats, this Pokémon is a serious triple threat. Its Dark/Poison typing leaves it well protected against all but Ground-type opponents. Trainers can make their Drapion virtually infallible by teaching it Ice Fang to combat its one real weakness.
However, learned moves like Night Slash, Cross Poison, and Crunch will reliably wreak havoc on the opponent’s defenses. A Skorupi or Drapion with the Sniper ability will be exceptionally skilled at utilizing these moves to land critical hits.
Skorupi also has a hidden ability that’s available through trade. Keen Eye prevents the infliction of accuracy debuffs on this Pokémon and renders its opponent’s evasion tactics futile.
Skorupi evolves into a well-rounded Pokémon, primed for a fight. And by strategically aligning its move set with its innate abilities, trainers can enhance this Pokémon’s prowess and help it truly shine on the battlefield.
