Ever thought Pokémon would be better if it was mixed with James Bond? Of course you haven’t, but Game Freak decided to make a super spy Pokémon anyway. Sobble starts off as a cute but sad little lizard that drew a good amount of fans. It then lost most of those fans when it revealed its evolution to be a slender, humanoid spy creature. But give Inteleon a chance, watch its animations, and you’ll see that a tricked-out spy Pokémon is pure joy to witness. But whether you love Inteleon or just need one to fill your Pokédex, here’s how to get one.

Where To Find Sobble

As a starter Pokémon, the only way to get Sobble through normal gameplay is to pick it at the beginning of Sword or Shield. Starter Pokémon don’t spawn in the wild. Getting all three requires some help from other players.

The easiest way to get a Sobble is to trade with a friend. Breed an extra Scorbunny or Grookey, whichever you picked, and trade it for a friend’s Sobbley. If you don’t have a friend who’s willing to trade, you’ll have to turn to the internet. Thankfully, dedicated fans have created a system to help each other make starter Pokémon trades.

To participate in the player-made system, select the “Link Trade” option from the Y-Comm menu. Your Switch will need to be connected for the internet for this to work. After picking Link Trade, the game will ask if you want to “Set a Link Code.” Pick that option. These Link Codes are what players are using to coordinate special trades without the need to actually talk to one another. Type in 7303 to make a Scorbunny for Sobble trade, and 7302 to make a Grookey for Sobble trade. You’ll be able to see what the opponent is trading before you confirm, so you don’t have to worry about being cheated.

How To Evolve Sobble

Sobble will evolve into Drizzile at level 16 and Inteleon at level 35.

Inteleon will be able to achieve a Gigantamax form when the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion releases. The details will be clear then, but the developers have said that players will be able to Gigantamax their original starter. This is unlike most Gigantamax-capable Pokémon that need to be caught through special raids.

What Inteleon Does In Battle

Like a true secret agent, Inteleon is meant to hit targets with precision and get out before things get too heated. It even has an Ability called Sniper that majorly ups its critical hit damage to get that deadly headshot. Unfortunately, Sniper is a Hidden Ability that isn’t available yet. And Pokémon really isn’t the kind of game that facilitates saboteur tactics. That leaves Inteleon’s role as being a speedy special attacker with Ice and Water-type moves. Throw U-turn on it to let it escape before something shreds its pitiful defenses.
