Pokémon Sword & Shield How To Find Klefki

Here’s where you can find Klefki on the Isle of Armor in Pokémon Sword & Shield.

Some Pokémon are these fantastic beasts that look like nothing we’ve ever seen in reality, like Mawile or Haxorus. And then there are Pokémon that really seem like Game Freak was just trying to pad out the current generation’s Pokédex. Klefki is one of those Pokémon.

It’s a floating set of keys. Whoop-de-doo.

But don’t be fooled by Klefki’s appearance. Yes, it’s a floating set of keys, but these keys can pack a potent punch. Klefki is the ultimate “don’t judge a book by its cover” Pokémon and a worthy addition to any team.

Where To Find Klefki

If you’ve only got the base version of either Sword or Shield, then you’ll need to use Pokémon HOME to transfer a Klefki from an older generation to the current one. They don’t spawn in the wild without the Isle of Armor expansion.

If you do have the Isle of Armor, then find Kelfki at the Fields of Honor. They have a super low spawn rate, though, so expect to spend quite a bit of time there.

You can also find Klekfi in Max Raid Battles at the Fields of Honor, Soothing Wetlands, Forest of Focus, Brawlers’ Cave, Courageous Cavern, Stepping-Stone Sea, and Insular Sea.

How To Evolve Klefki

Klefki does not evolve. And if it could, what would it even evolve into? A larger set of keys? A double keychain? A bike lock?

What Klefki Can Do In Battle

Klefki is a Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon, which provides it with an incredible 9 damage type resistances and 2 complete type immunities. That’s over half the damage types in the game that won’t hit Klefki as hard as they should.

However, Klefki has average defenses and poor HP, so whatever damage it doesn’t resist, it will hurt. A lot. Be mindful of your opponent’s moves when using Klefki.

Klefki’s ability of Prankster is also a huge boon. This ability allows Klefki’s status moves to have +1 to their priority, making them on par with “me first” abilities like Quick Attack. This means moves like Spikes and Thunder Wave will usually go first even if Klefki is slower than its opponent.

Play Rough is your highest damage STAB attack, but Draining Kiss can also be used if your opponent has a type disadvantage and refuses to switch out.
