Fans are stepping up to offer support to Twitch streamer Dellor after his recent sanction from Twitch, which he received for breaking a keyboard on his head. The stunt, which he has previously done on more than one occasion, has sparked a ban which Dellor stated is permanent. This removal of his channel, which came on the same day Dellor was due to get his sub button back after a 6 month hiatus, appears to have sparked a strong reaction in the former Overwatch pro, which has fans worried for his safety.

Dellor mainly streams Fortnite, League of Legends, PUBG, Apex Legends and Overwatch. He had over half a million subscribers on Twitch and has been streaming for almost 3 years. During this time he has broken many keyboards, even posting the clips to his social media.

After the sanction, Dellor took to his Twitter account to inform his fans. He stated that the ban was “indefinite” and was given to him for “self harm.” Despite keyboard smashing being a staple feature of his channel, Dellor states he has “never received even a warning” regarding the practice and is “at a loss for words.”

Fans were quick to jump to his defence, suggesting a move to Mixer and criticizing Twitch’s moderation policies, which appear to be becoming more erratic.

Their rage turned to concern later in the day when Dellor posted a longer Tweet which suggested the events had sparked a mental health crisis in the Streamer.

Referring to himself as “broken” and “depressed” the note suggests he has been having suicidal thoughts and understandably his community want to support him through this crisis.

While we don’t know the details of what happened next, his Discord moderation team posted updates saying that he is “at the hospital but is doing fine and will be ok.” The news has reassured his fans, who just want him to be safe and well.

Streaming is often very mentally and physically draining and no streamer is immune to the possibility of declining mental health. Most recently Tfue announced that he is taking a mental health break, and he’s one of many who have done this recently.

Whatever Dellor decides to do next, we at TheGamer wish him all the best and hope that he is being well supported so he can make his return fighting fit.
