The international localization of the next Final Fantasy mobile game now has a release window, as War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is set for a spring 2020 release, with pre-registration open on Android and iOS devices.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is an upcoming tactics RPG that is set in the Brave Exvius universe. The game is set in the continent of Ardora, where five nations are engulfed in a massive conflict known as the War of the Visions. War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is heavily inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, with an equal focus on both story and gameplay.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is currently available in Japan, but we now have a release window for the English language version of the game. Square Enix has created an official website for War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which has pre-registration links for both the Android and iOS versions of the game. The people who pre-register their interest will be informed when the game is released. The current release window for the game is spring 2020.
The website lists milestone rewards based on registration numbers for the game, which include free items, currency, weapons, espers, and characters, including the Siren summon and Y’shtola from Final Fantasy XIV. The site also gives detailed information about the tactical battle system and quest structure.
Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the most beloved entries in the Final Fantasy series and it’s surprising that Square Enix has waited this long to release a mobile tactical RPG. It’s possible that the massive success of Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile phones for Nintendo has inspired Square Enix to return to the tactics RPG genre. We won’t have long to wait to find out if the game lives up to the reputation of its esteemed predecessors.
