Yolanda Hadid’s family is sticking by her side amid The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s alleged fight with Gigi Hadid’s ex Zayn Malik. Yolanda’s other two children Bella and Anwar Hadid have both unfollowed Zayn on Instagram. It came after Yolanda filed harassment charges against Zayn claiming he shoved her during a domestic dispute. The move shows how the Hadid’s are standing in solidarity amid their fallout with Gigi’s on-and-off boyfriend and child’s father.
The walls have come tumbling down in Gigi and Zayn’s relationship. The couple has been on and off since first sparking romance rumors in late 2015. Gigi, a world-famous supermodel hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone else outside of Zayn. The former One Direction singer has continued to release music while maintaining a low profile. Gigi and Zayn have broken up on different occasions in the past but they always managed to come back together. In September 2020, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Khai Hadid Malik. But a year later and all of the behind-the-scenes family drama has started to surface.
After accusing Zayn of physically assaulting her, fans noticed that both Bella and Anwar Hadid unfollowed Zayn on Instagram. Additionally, Bella posted a cryptic quote that many believe took aim at Zayn and Gigi’s shaky relationship status. “I can do nothing for you but work on myself. You can do nothing for me but work on yourself,” the post captured by Daily Mail read. Most recently Yolanda filed charges against Zayn and made the public aware of their domestic issues. Yolanda and Zayn have apparently been at odds over Zayn’s treatment of her daughter Gigi. As a result, the hands-on mother rubbed Zayn the wrong way, and the two engaged in some type of squabble.
Yolanda claims Zayn shoved her and shouted profanities at her. The “Pillowtalk” singer denies the charges and claims Yolanda just wanted to leak bad information about him to the press. Gigi is working to keep the peace with Zayn for the sake of their daughter. The two stars still have a child to raise in all of this. Fan reactions are split with many bashing Zayn for allegedly putting his hands on Gigi’s mom while others think Yolanda should have stayed out of her daughter’s business.
During Yolanda’s three seasons on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she showed how hands-on she is with Gigi’s life and modeling career. Insiders say Yolanda stuck her nose in Gigi and Zayn’s relationship too much and the singer grew tired of her constant input. When she showed up at the house Gigi and Zayn share together, things clearly went left. It looks like the Hadids will need a family therapist of some sort to help ease the tension. But the good thing is Yolanda’s kids are sticking by her side through all the public scrutiny.
