Teresa Guidice’s daughters had to cancel their plans to visit their father, Joe, in Italy. After The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was deported, his daughters planned to see him in his home country in August. Unfortunately, current COVID-19 restrictions interfered with their travel plans.
Teresa is best known as the table-flipping diva of the New Jersey housewives. She and Joe were married for 20 years after dating as childhood sweethearts. Their love story-turned-drama unfolded on the show for all to see. After Joe got in trouble with the United States government for avoiding taxes, he spent some time behind bars. He was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but was immediately flown back to his home country, Italy. Towards the end of last year, Joe’s wife and four daughters all took a trip across the Atlantic to see him. The reunion went well, but the couple knew their time together had come to an end.
The last season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey showed how hard the family took Joe being locked up and then banned from the only country he had ever known. Teresa spoke with her daughters about the possibility that their father may never return home, leaving the girls to wonder how they would cope without their dad. Now, the children will have to deal with another blow, as they can’t go forward with a planned summer trip to see their father due to the worldwide pandemic. According to Hollywood Life, Gia, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11, were supposed to travel to Italy next week to see Joe. Because of the state of coronavirus in the US, Americans have been banned from entering certain countries or have had to abide by a strict 14-day quarantine.
Naturally, the disappointment is strong with the four daughters, as they miss their father. Teresa was openly concerned for her daughters’ August trip and was afraid they would contract COVID-19. Only last week, the European Union extended a ban on the entry of any travelers from the United States. There are backdoors for visitors who were meant to see family, but the Giudice girls did not qualify.
The last time the girls saw their father was Thanksgiving 2019. Joe already lost three appeals to return to his home in New Jersey. But his daughters are confident they will be able to reunite with Joe in October, as he will be participating in a celebrity boxing match. But for now, all rips are up in the air.
