For multiple seasons, fans of The Real Housewives of New York have watched Sonja Morgan enjoy a drink or two. But her fellow castmates seem to be worried about her excessive drinking habits and tried to blindside her with an intervention while at a winery. The move didn’t make sense to Bravo viewers.
Morgan has always been a beloved part of the Big Apple franchise since she first stepped onto the scene back in season 3. The 57-year-old has been a huge part of the franchise’s success, thanks to her wild ways and sentimental moments. Bravo fans have watched Morgan try out numerous business ventures, which included a toaster oven and clothing line. Morgan’s free spirit has kept the franchise going, and fans love seeing the mother of one succeed.
Morgan was previously married to John Adams Morgan. Being married to a Morgan was no small feat, as she was also responsible for raising the heir, her daughter, Quincy Adams Morgan. Many of Morgan’s flip-outs have been set around her emotional outburst regarding her divorce. On Tuesday’s all-new episode, her fellow housewives tried their best to help her overcome her issues with alcohol. But they failed to prove their point since it took place at a wine night. Leah McSweeney made it clear by saying, “We are worried, and we want to help.”
The intervention came after Morgan had a physical fight with Bershan Shaw. Both McSweeney and Luann de Lesseps felt they were doing their friend a disservice by ignoring the issue. Morgan has always claimed she has never had a problem. Both women felt that Morgan was in denial. In a confessional, McSweeney shared that she would want people to talk to her if she had ever punched a glass case. Both women agreed that this outburst was not an isolated event.
The heart-to-heart didn’t go as planned. Morgan did admit she loved a good party but never had drunk alone. Even though Ramona Singer pointed out that her best friend had been angry as of late, Morgan just brushed it off. Fans truly believe that Morgan has a lot on her mind between trying to sell her penthouse and watching her girlfriends steal all the men in her life.
