Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves has official cast six new characters for season 2. Created by Aaron Guzikowski, the science-fiction drama premiered via HBO Max on September 3, 2020. Positively received, Raised by Wolves was rapidly renewed. Packed with twists, the series centered on androids, Mother and Father, that were tasked with raising young remnants of humanity on the planet Kepler-22b. Adding potential connections to the Alien and Blade Runner timeline, Scott served as exective producer and director of the first two episodes.
Fans can expect several new faces to emerge in Raised by Wolves season 2. According to Deadline, Peter Christoffersen signed on to play atheist soldier, Cleaver. Selina Jones will play a god-like android named Grandmother. Morgan Santo was cast as Vrille, a rebellious android modelled on a suicidal human. James Harkness was confirmed as another soldier, Tamerlane. Kim Engelbrecht will star as Decima, a prominent and immoral scientist. Finally, Jennifer Saayeng was cast as Nerva, the head of an underground network of goods and services. Each will have their own quests that could bring them into conflict with Mother and Father.
An official synopsis for Raised by Wolves season 2 reads: Android partners Mother and Father, along with their brood of six human children, join a newly formed atheistic colony in Kepler 22b’s mysterious tropical zone. But navigating this strange new society is only the start of their troubles as Mother’s ominous pregnancy and “natural child” threatens to drive what little remains of the human race to extinction.
Raised by Wolves season 1 starred Amanda Collin as Mother, Abubakar Salim as Father, Winta McGrath as Campion, Niamh Algar as Sue/Mary, Travis Fimmel as Marcus/Caleb, Jordan Loughran as Tempest, Felix Jamieson as Paul, Ethan Hazzard as Hunter, Aasiya Shah as Holly, Ivy Wong as Vita, and Matias Varela as Lucius. How the newcomers will ultimately intersect with the established cast will be one of the biggest questions hanging over Raised by Wolves as fans continue to wait for the new episodes.
