Claire Redfield could be set to return in another Resident Evil game and soon, based on comments made by her English voice actor during a recent interview.
The voice of Claire Redfield was provided by Alyson Court throughout most of the character’s existence. Court first voiced Claire in Resident Evil 2 and last voiced her in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Claire was next voiced by an actress using the pseudonym “James Baker” in Resident Evil: Revelation 2, as this was done without a union contract. In Resident Evil 2, Claire was voiced by Stephanie Panisello.
It’s possible that Paniesello could be returning to the role of Claire in a future Resident Evil game that could already be in development. Panisello recently appeared on a podcast produced by Residence of Evil with other voice actors from the Resident Evil series. According to Rely On Horror, Panisello made a comment that suggested that she has played Claire again in another Resident Evil project with one of the cast members of Resident Evil 3.
Also, Resident Evil 3 cast, hello! I know I didn’t know you guys personally, although I do feel like I’ve worked with one of you, but I think it’s a project that hasn’t come out yet, so I won’t say anything.
If Panisello is talking about a Resident Evil game, then there could be a few possibilities. It’s possible that Claire is returning as a character in Resident Evil Resistance, which is the multiplayer component of Resident Evil 3. There have been rumors of another Resident Evil remake on the way and Claire was the main character in Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, which is long overdue for a remake. There are also rumors of Resident Evil 8 being in development and Claire could have a role in that. It’s also possible that Panisello was talking about a project that is unrelated to the Resident Evil franchise.
Claire Redfield has been the frontwoman in several Resident Evil games and there is a strong possibility that she could return to the starring role in a future entry. The only question now is how long it will take before she returns to kick zombie ass?
