Samsung is teaming up with Microsoft to offer a Samsung Galaxy Note20 bundle. This will include three months Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a MOGA XP5-X+ controller that will keep your phone charged, and a clip to keep your phone attached to the controller.

According to Samsung, the pre-order bundle offer is now available and devices will be in consumer’s hands on August 21st. The offer allows buyers to register their free three-month subscription for their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting on the release date of Project xCloud (September 15) until March 2, 2021. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Bundle is the perfect way to spend the $200 Samsung Credit you’ll be eligible for when pre-ordering the Note20.

Engadget says to access the games once the Samsung Galaxy Note20 is in hand, players will have to download the Xbox Game Pass from the Samsung Galaxy Store. From there, players can redeem tokens and make in-app purchases in the Xbox Store. Project xCloud allows players to play games across phones, computers, consoles, and tablets and those who are already Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers won’t have to pay extra for this new experience. Expected games on Project xCloud are Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite, The Outer Worlds, and Gears 5.

Though future Samsung Note20 5G holders will have the unique ability to redeem tokens and have the wireless controller that has a 3000mAh battery with a three-month subscription of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — an estimated $114.96 value — the price is still hefty. The Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G is priced at $999.99 and the upgraded Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G is set at $1299.99. Current Samsung Galaxy phone owners can trade in their current device for up to $650 discount. Non-Samsung phone owners can pre-order the bundle and receive a $150 Samsung Credit that can be used for the bundle.

It seems that Samsung and Microsoft are putting an effort to sell both the Galaxy Note20 5G and subscriptions for Xbox Game Pass. The extra energy might be necessary, as launching a flagship product in the middle of a pandemic is bound to be a challenge.
