Considering that the new locations added in Sea Of Thieves Season Four are called Siren Shrines, you shouldn’t be surprised to learn that some of these underwater structures are home to swarms of Sirens and other nasty deep-sea abominations.

The Shrine Of Flooded Embrace, in particular, seems to be a popular hangout spot for these ugly, cursed merfolk, which can make an already confusing and waterlogged shrine more of a hassle to navigate.

Lucky for you, we know how to get your treasure and the hidden journals lying in wait within this shrine. So here’s a quick guide to help you get through the Shrine Of Flooded Embrace.

How To Navigate The Shrine Of Flooded Embrace

As you swim below the surface to this shrine, you’ll see a lot of wrecked ships on the ocean floor. There are two entrances to this shrine that require you to swim through sunken ship hulls. One is located at the top, while the other is stuck in the side.

Upon swimming into this shrine, you will likely hear the tell-tale song of the Sirens. Fight them off for a brief respite and get a sense of your surroundings. As was eluded to by its name, the Shrine Of Flooded Embrace is almost completely filled with water. However, there are air pockets and bubbling coral tubes that will provide you with oxygen, so take note of the places you can go to get some air.

While Siren Shrines often have puzzles or platforming sections, this shrine is a fairly straightforward area where you just swim inside, fight some sirens, gather treasure, lather, rinse, repeat. Within the shipwrecks is where you can find some valuable coral treasure. Some of the best loot can be found at the bottom of this shrine within a wrecked ship.

A Coral Captain’s Chest or two and some Siren gems can typically be found around there. There’s a room behind a Siren Window that has a Sunken Merfolk Statue, an ammo chest, some barrels filled with supplies, and some more loot.

All in all, the Shrine Of Flooded Embrace is probably the least complicated shrine. There’s nothing to it besides swimming, fighting Sirens, and loading up on coral treasure. It can be a pain due to the lack of air and the abundance of Sirens, but there’s plenty of ammo chests around to reload your guns so you can fend them off.

You’re also likely to find a Trident Of Dark Tides here too, which will make short work of any Siren. Store as much loot as you can find with the Sunken Merfolk Statue and head back up to dry land.

The next journal isn’t too far from the first one. Exit the ship where you found the first journal and head to another upside-down shipwreck that has pieces of big yellow coral attached to it right below. It should look like this.

The journal is lying on top of this wreckage on a flat bit of blue coral.

Journal 5: A Great Battle

The last journal is located all the way at the bottom of the shrine. You’ll see another shipwreck as well as a red throne where the Breath Of The Sea would normally be found. To the right of the shipwreck and the throne, you should spot some glowing blue coral. The journal will be leaning against that coral.
