A glitched-out self-revive meant for a very tense situation but eventually handed this Warzone player the game.

It appears there might be a bug with self-revives again. Although this isn’t as bad as last March when the self-revive stopped working entirely, this bug adds a significant delay to the start of the revive process. This leaves players vulnerable, but it also gave this one Call of Duty: Warzone player the match.

Reddit user DrN3ckbr3aker posted this video to the Warzone subreddit of their most recent Warzone victory. It’s the last few minutes of the game where DrN3ckbr3aker is one of three remaining players.

After getting into a brief gunfight on the top of a building, DrN3ckbr3aker retreats to re-armor and seek better ground. Unfortunately, they run smack into the other player who manages to win that exchange and gets DrN3ckbr3aker down to so little health that they become downed thanks to the gas.

Lucky for DrN3ckbr3aker, both enemies fail to spot the downed player and they’re able to crawl with the encroaching gas to the safe zone to use their self-revive.

Only the self-revive doesn’t appear to work. For almost 10 seconds, DrN3ckbr3aker is just sitting there staring at the self-revive gauge as it stubbornly refuses to move. And then one of the two remaining enemies appears and it seems like it’s game over.

But he doesn’t spot DrN3ckbr3aker, who’s just lying helpless in a rocky outcrop. Instead, the enemy player downs the other guy, and just as that’s happening, DrN3ckbr3aker’s self-revive kicks in. it finishes just in time for DrN3ckbr3aker to aim and fire at the last remaining enemy, giving them the match.

But man, that was a tense few seconds. If the timing of that glitch were any different, DrN3ckbr3aker might have wound up taking down the guy in front of them only to be taken out by the other player off-screen. Or maybe DrN3ckbr3aker would have been caught in the crossfire and taken out first.

One thing is for sure: pay attention to those self-revives and be sure to report this glitch.
